Sanvira Carbon (FZC) operates the calcined petroleum coke (CPC) plant at Sohar Free Zone, a strategic downstream facility supplying CPC to the regional aluminium smelter industry, including Sohar Aluminium, Emirates Global Aluminium and other GCC smelters. Sanvira is an Indian industrial group that invested in Oman as part of the Sohar aluminium and carbon cluster, producing several hundred thousand tonnes per annum of CPC. The plant employs several hundred staff across process operations, kilns, maintenance, HSE, commercial, logistics, finance and HR, plus contractor coverage for shutdowns and projects. External interaction flow revolves around green petroleum coke (GPC) suppliers (from Asia, the US and Europe), CPC offtake customers (the GCC aluminium smelters), shipping lines and port agents, Sohar Free Zone authority, EPC and O&M contractors, catalyst and refractory OEMs, and classification bodies.
