Bahwan Engineering LLC

Bahwan Engineering Company (BEC), founded in 1977 and part of Suhail Bahwan Group Holding, is one of the established engineering, construction, trading and services groups in Oman. BEC executes integrated multi-disciplinary construction projects covering civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, elevators and escalators, and diesel power generation, and is also active in trading electrical, mechanical and chemical products and in facilities management across Oman and the UAE. With over 17,000 employees including around 900 engineers, BEC has established itself as a specialist in integrated projects in oil and gas, power, HV transmission and distribution, airports, hotels, hospitals and commercial-residential complexes. BEC was the first Omani company in its category to achieve ISO 9000 certification and holds ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 as well. For a company with 17,000 people spread across shutdowns at Sohar refineries, HV substation commissioning in Duqm, airport expansion sites in Muscat and facilities-management contracts in Salalah, the paper business card is genuinely inefficient. Site engineers and supervisors lose cards in overalls, get transferred between projects, and frequently represent BEC to clients (Shell, OQ, Nama Group, Ministry of Defence) where a wrong or outdated card reflects poorly on a company that prides itself on HSE and quality compliance. Cardify gives BEC a single admin-controlled digital card per employee, bilingual EN/AR, with QR-to-vCard so clients save the engineer's direct line and WhatsApp instantly on site. Division-specific templates can distinguish BEC Civil from BEC Electrical or BEC FM. Printed bulk cards through local Omani print shops remain available for senior management and client relations teams, while the majority of the field workforce gets a scannable digital card that updates the moment their role changes. Teams at BEC can start bilingual EN/AR cards free on Cardify and scale across the 17,000-person workforce as the tool proves itself.
