About SHINAS GENERATING COMPANY
Shinas Generating Company (SGC) owns and operates the Sohar 3 Independent Power Project, a 1,710 MW natural-gas-fired combined-cycle plant, the second-largest power station in Oman. Located in the Sohar area of Al Batinah North, Sohar 3 entered commercial operation after a consortium of Mitsui, ACWA Power and Dhofar International Development & Investment Holding Company (DIDIC) invested approximately USD 1 billion to develop, finance, construct, own and operate the facility under a long-term Power Purchase Agreement with the state-owned procurer Nama PWP. Sohar 3 contributes materially to the Main Interconnected System that supplies northern Oman.
An IPP workforce is small but highly specialised: control-room operators, mechanical and electrical maintenance engineers, performance-test engineers, HSE leads, a finance team that interacts with OPWP/Nama and lenders, and a corporate affairs function that meets regulators, O&M contractors and visiting shareholder delegations from Tokyo, Riyadh and Dhofar. Every external engagement, from a grid-code audit meeting to a lender site visit, is the kind of context where a professional, bilingual EN/AR card enhances credibility and a scuffed paper card detracts.
Cardify lets SGC issue a consistent digital card to every employee, bilingual, with QR-to-vCard for instant save. Central brand control maintains the Shinas / Sohar 3 identity and, where appropriate, co-brands with ACWA Power or Mitsui for commercial functions. Updates propagate instantly, useful when a plant manager rotates or a lender-facing CFO changes. For delegations and ceremonial visits, printed cards can still be bulk-ordered through local Omani print shops from the same dashboard. Scan analytics give external-relations an honest picture of engagement. Teams at Shinas Generating Company can start bilingual EN/AR cards free on Cardify and extend across operations, finance, commercial and O&M contractor staff as needed.
How Cardify fits SHINAS GENERATING COMPANY teams
Utility engineers do high-trust, long-cycle work, a printed Cardify card with ISO 9001/14001/45001 badges and PDO/OPWP vendor registration numbers carries weight at tender meetings. Digital QR cards layer on top for trade shows and inter-company referrals at Oman Sustainability Week. Team templates help O&M contractors manage 150+ technician cards across 3 plants consistently. Bulk ordering supports new-project mobilisation.
