OOMCO Marine Fuels SPC

OOMCO Marine Fuels SPC is the marine bunkering arm of Oman Oil Marketing Company (OOMCO), supplying fuel oil, marine gas oil, and lubricants to vessels calling at Omani ports, principally Sohar, Salalah and Duqm. As a large oil-and-gas operator headquartered in Muscat, OOMCO Marine Fuels runs a technical commercial team that deals with ship-owners, charterers, shipping agents, port authorities, and international traders on a daily basis: bunker traders negotiating stems, operations coordinators scheduling barges, marine surveyors attending delivery, and finance staff reconciling USD-denominated invoices.

Bunkering is a business of fast introductions. A bunker trader on a call with a Singapore-based owner, an operations coordinator meeting an agent at the port office in Sohar, a marine surveyor boarding a vessel at 2am to witness the transfer, every one of those exchanges ends with a card, and the counterparty often speaks no Arabic. Bilingual EN+AR cards matter because port authority officials, customs, and local agents expect Arabic; international customers expect English.
